I don't know why there aren't many reviews for this place because John is absolutely wonderful! He's very attentive and explains what he's going to do before he does it – something that doesn't happen too often – then asks if it's something you want to do. I don't know much about cars, but he takes the time to make sure I understand just what needs to be done. It's great! It was recommended by someone I work with to come here and I've honestly never gone anywhere else since. Best recommendation I've ever gotten
I'm flabbergasted by how quick and easy John made my repairs, he totally takes care of you. I was taken care of right away and it took him maybe ten minutes to put through my warranty confirmation once he'd confirmed that that was the problem. I'll be back for sure.
I bought a used car with an obnoxiously loud exhaust. Seller gave me the stock muffler. I needed the mufflers switched. I went to Budget Brake Muffler (245 E 2 Ave). Budget said they cannot switch it, and recommended I buy an entire new exhaust system. Parts and labour will be $800. Muffler Man had great reviews so I drove across the city to check it out. They switched the loud and stock mufflers under 30min for $100. No problem. Great customer service too. John is upfront with costs, tell you what's what and why, friendly, approachable. I sat in the waiting room and hear John's interactions with other customers. Honest and no BS.
My brother just had his muffler fixed. The price quoted was a lot cheaper than the dealership. But the most important part is that they didn't sell him more than what was needed. They fixed what was broken. At the dealership they wanted to replace everything. This place should be named "The Honest Muffler Man"
Best muffler service in BC. Quick. To the point. They won't rip you off. Got my 99 4runner and my 91 Integra new mufflers under 300$ each. Cares about his customers but very busy so you may be in line. First come first served.
